Life Experiences with Suicide

Compassionate and collaborative therapy in Eastern North Carolina

Are you a survivor of suicide loss or a suicide attempt survivor? Or do you live with thoughts of suicide?

You may be struggling to connect with others or simply to make it through day-to-day. And you’re noticing the impact of this in every aspect of your life:

    • Trying so hard to keep up at work and/or school
    • Not understanding why this happened
    • Unable to keep relationships or figure out social norms
    • Difficulty managing daily tasks like hygiene and self-care (e.g., water, food, sleep)
    • Not understanding why you are having these intrusive thoughts

Lighten your load with a compassionate, collaborative provider.

It may feel impossible now, but you can get the clarity you need. You can start to explain your experience to others. You can get the support you need and deserve. And we can help you get there.

Our process includes tailoring your therapy to your unique needs and circumstances. Our approach to this therapy comes from a place of hope and understanding from our own experiences.

Your loss or your thoughts don’t have to be your story.

Life Experiences with Suicide FAQs

What are sessions like?

We will meet online through Zoom. The initial assessment lasts up to 90 minutes, and ongoing sessions last 60 minutes. During the sessions we will focus on what is important to you. And we will figure out how to deal with it in ways that make sense to you. You know yourself best.

How long do I need to be in therapy?

How long you are in therapy is up to you. We could meet weekly or every other week and once you are comfortable enough, move back to once a month or less.

How do I know if this will work for me?

While I can’t make guarantees, if you want to someone to help you deal with the loss of a loved one or to gain support because you are having your own thoughts of self-harm and how to manage these feelings then you have found the right place.

How do we get started?

Reach out! We will set up a short phone call or Zoom meeting to discuss any questions or concerns you might have.

We will talk about scheduling, pricing, and explain the process.
